My Short-Term Goals 

1.  Begin a job specializing in working with college student academic retention after graduation from CSUS in December 2022

2.  Begin volunteering with local nonprofits that serve the Sacramento Hispanic/latino community by January 2023

3.  Complete 4 months of experience working with college students through my current job by December 2022. 

4. Find at least one professional mentor by December 2022 to help guide me through job searches

 

My Long-Term Goals 

1.  Build a career in college student outreach with an emphasis on retaining and recruiting underserved populations within the CSU system by 2027

2. Create a nonprofit mentorship program for low socio-economic k-12 students in the south Sacramento community

3.  Publish a successful blog containing information to support parents with supporting their children's academic journey 

4.  Attain a masters in educational leadership by 2028

 

What makes me qualified to attain these goals?

I am the best-qualified person to accomplish these goals because I do not see any of those goals as work but as nourishment for my passion. I have always dreamt of being able to serve my community and take the knowledge and experience I have attained throughout my undergraduate career to educate those in my low socioeconomic community that have not been privileged enough to go to college and support parents and students of first generation households to be able to go to college and succeed. My passion, life experience, and work ethics is what sets me apart from others and helps me be successful in the projects I create.
