A Bit About Me
I am a first generation mixed status student in my final semester at California State University, Sacramento and will be receiving my Bachelor of Science in Family and Consumer Sciences with a concentration in Family Studies and Human Development in December 2022. My background is what drives me to be so passionate about connecting with my community with the goal of helping others succeed and reach their full potential. My tagline CARE.CONNECT.CULTIVATE. is reflective of my process is connecting with others and what I encourage those who are working with our community to do in the name of success!

I come from a family of Mexican Immigrants. My parents originate from Michoacán, Mexico. You may notice the inclusion of Monarch butterflies on my page, this element was specially chosen to be representative of my beautiful migrant family. My family values loyalty, dependability, and hard work. I will be the first in my family to graduate with a college degree.
My dream has always been to use my college education to serve low socioeconomic communities like the one I was raised in. My hometown of South Sacramento has been labeled as ghetto and dangerous while I hope to be apart of a collaborative effort that helps bring resources to uplift my community out of harmful generational cycles.
My greatest skill is my connection to other people. Building and maintaining rapport with the people I serve feels as natural as breathing to me. I excel in this by maintaining high levels of communication, empathy, and a high willingness to serve.
On my off days I love going to the beach and reading. I have a dog that I adore who loves playing fetch with her millions of toys. I am a crafter and love making things myself using vinyl.
